From the primitive kòsmos came the verb kosmèo
to order, to put in order, and then extensively to adorn, to embellish,
and hence the word kòsmesis which is properly the action of ordering, adorning, embellishing

It is precisely the rituality and gesturality of embellishment that characterise the concept of Kosmèo.
The cosmetic is no longer the protagonist of the ritual, but the instrument through which we celebrate beauty.
What makes the difference is not what that cosmetic contains, don't get me wrong, of course it is important, but not fundamental.
Beauty is not something you achieve or possess, beauty is the time you dedicate to it... to contemplate it, to celebrate it.
If my life is so chaotic that I can't afford 5min in the mirror to massage an oil and celebrate my beauty... surely a 1000dollar cream smeared in the car between a stop sign and a traffic light won't make a big difference!
Intention and presence make a big difference and not only in terms of beauty..
For example the Japanese tradition of taking tea, of course the tea is of good quality but it is the ceremony and the gestures around this practice that make that tea a most precious gift!
The concept of Kosmèo is precisely to make self-care a ceremony, to ritualise, to devote time to oneself, however little, but precious.
Slathering on a cream while I talk on the phone and brush my teeth is different from taking 2-3 minutes, background music playing, in front of the mirror and massaging myself with the extreme consciousness that we are performing a gesture to adorn and to celebrate our own beauty.
The beauty you see around you
is a reflection of the beauty within you
That's when the list of cosmetic-medicines needed becomes more concentrated, more pure, more raw, and it's your intention and your presence that makes the real magic happen!
